Mind closed unwilling to see the truth
Heart soiled by his lies.
Body bruised by his love.
Soul clings on to life.
Little eyes watch as she dies.

Amazing. Sadly it's not that easy to leave due to low self esteem, children and financial dependency.

Ok in some places It can be harder to leave. But in others it is not. There are programs they can go to and get, schooling, housing, childcare, and work training. They even have homes for abused men. Some even with all that offered to them they still choose to stay. Fear holds them back mostly and that is why I always talk about abuse and try and make other aware of it. You never know who is out there that may just need some one to talk to. Sometimes words can be the seed that starts thought about possibilities.
Thats all I ment with this poem.

No the dreaded phrase they all use holds them back I LOVE HIM/HER.Until they see the truth, they will never truly be free. And yes there are programmes and refuges but how often have you heard of the partner ect, turning up there and demanding or pleading, for the return of the abused man/woman.Furthermore how do these people find the courage to seek help, when their self esteem and self determination, have been completely destroyed. You make it sound so easy its anything but.

This seems like a back and forth conversation with peek-a-boo, and Goblin.
